This program is for those who want to work in Interior Design or related fields. Students learn the principles and elements of design theory and gain hands-on training through its internship component and community projects. Topics covered include:
The Interior Design program is a cooperative effort between Mountwest Community and Technical College and the Cabell County Career Technology Center. Students will take their interior design technical training at the Career Technology Center and general/business education courses at MCTC. They can earn 30 hours of MCTC credit at our center and then add 35 hours at MCTC; obtaining 65 hours for an associate degree. Each student will be a participating member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) student chapter #430.
This is a day-time program for both adults and high-school students, but adults have first option. Adults must meet certain criteria for admission and are responsible for Application and Registration fees (see
