The Carpentry concentration focuses on concepts that will build a knowledge base and technical skills for all aspects of the carpentry industry.  Learners will be exposed to a broad range of construction careers and necessary skills, including basic safety, plan reading, use of tools and equipment, basic rigging, and how to display positive work ethics in their careers.  Many other carpentry topics are covered,including: drywall installation, cabinet installation, roofing applications, thermal and moisture protection, floor systems, and wall and ceiling framing.  Students will have the opportunity to earn NCCER certification for each skill set mastered.  If space is available,adult students are permitted into the program, but high-school students have first option. Adult applicants must meet specific requirements for admission into this program and are responsible for Application and Registration fees (see Admissions).  For other costs associated with this course for adult students*, please see below.
