Electrical Technician Industrial


This course will prepare adults for their State Electrical Journeyman's License administered by the West Virginia State Fire Marshall. Components of this course include theory, hands-on skills, and applications that will qualify the adult student for entry-level employment at their certification level.  Units of study include:
  • Fundamentals of Electricity
  • Industrial and Commercial Wiring
  • National Electric Code
  • Residential Wiring
  • Integrated Electrical Lab
  • Rotating Devices and Control Circuitry
  • Fundamentals of Industrial and Equipment Maintenance
Applicants must meet certain requirements for admission and are responsible for Application and Registration fees (see Admissions).  For other costs for adults* entering this program, please see below.
Course Length and Meeting Times:
  • Evening program, 2 years, 650 hours each year
  • Meets: Monday - Wednesday or Tuesday - Thursday, 5pm - 10pm
  • Tuition: $3,800.00*
  • Lab Fee: $600.00
  • Textbooks: $450.00
 Costs are subject to change without notice.

*The 13th Year Tuition Waiver may be applied to this course for adults who qualify.
