HVAC Technician


HVAC students will build a knowledge base and technical skills for all aspects of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning industry.   Program completers can gain employment and build a profitable career in the HVAC field. Students will study:
  • Basic Electrical Systems and how they apply to HVAC
  • Fundamentals of AC/Refrigeration
  • Tubing and Piping
  • Fabrication Usage
  • Heating Systems
  • Window Air Conditioners
  • Domestic Refrigeration
  • Duct Systems
  • and more
Students will have the opportunity to earn NCCER certification for each skill set mastered and be exposed to skills that develop positive work ethics.  The student will be tested for EPA Refrigeration Certification. This program is for both adults and high-school students, but adults have first priority and must meet specific entrance requirements and are responsible for Application and Registration fees (see Admissions).  For other costs for adults* entering this program, please see below.
Course Length and Meeting Times:
  • Day-time Program: 5 days per week, 8 am - 3pm, 1 year, 1200 hours
  • Evening Program: Monday - Wednesday, 5pm - 10pm, 2 years, 1200 hours
  • Tuition: $4,200.00*
  • Lab Fee: $700.00
  • Textbooks: $422.00
  • Tests: $50.00 each

 * The 13th Year Tuition Waiver may be applied to this course for adults who qualify.
