Machine Tool Technology


The Machine Tool Technology concentration helps students build a knowledge base and technical skills for all aspects of the Machine Tool Technology industry.  Students will have the opportunity to earn NIMS certifications that are applicable to the trade.  This program participates in the Simulated Workplace initiative.  Units of study include:
  • Lathe and Mill Operations
  • CNC Processes (including Setup and Programming)
  • Measurement
  • Part Symmetry
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Metallurgy
  • Metal Arc Welding
  • Hand and Power Tool Skills
  • and more
 If space is available, adult students are permitted into the program,but high-school students have first option. Adult applicants must meet specific admission criteria and are responsible for Application and Registration fees (see Admissions).  For other costs for adults* entering this course, please see below.
Course Length and Meeting Times:
  • High School Program: Day-time, 5 days per week, morning or afternoon, 2 years, 1200 hours
  • Adult Program: Day-time, 5 days per week, 8am - 3pm, 1 year, 1200 hours

  • Tuition: $4,200.00*
  • Lab Fee: $600.00*
  • Textbooks and Test Fees do not apply

 *The 13th Year Tuition Waiver may be applied to this course for adults who qualify.
