High School Equivalency

West Virginia currently uses the online TASC Assessment to determine if a candidate earns their high-school equivalency credential. Our computer lab is a certified testing center for the TASC. The TASC test is generally:
  • scheduled at least once a month (except in June)
  • is administered over the course of 2 evenings
  • Mathematics and Writing are on the 1st evening
  • Reading, Science, and Social Studies are on the 2nd evening
  • begins promptly at 4pm
Tobe admitted for testing, candidates are required to bring a current, valid, government-issued photo ID and their completed TASC voucher signed by an ABE or Option Pathway instructor.   Candidates are not allowed to use their cell phones during testing and no outside calculators and other supplies are permitted.  The TASC examiners will have calculators and supplies for your use during the exam.  Contact our ABE Learning Center to get started.
